"Great Budget Hotel."
I stayed at the Madalena Hotel for a week at the beginning to June.
Mrs Madalena (I think that's her name) was very friendly and helpful. Although her English wasn't great. (But my Greek is worse) Her daughter and grandaughter were very helpful. The rest of the staff was friendly.
I was first given a room with a twin beds. Then the next day I was moved to a room with a large double bed and a spectacular view.
The rooms were clean and the linens were changed daily. The breakfast is basic. Bread, butter, jams, cheese, tea/coffee, juice. Adequate.
The room had a small fridge so I went to the local grocery store and bought some provisions for lunches/snacks/drinks.
The hotel is located about a ten minute walk from the centre of Mykonos. It is up a narrow road. The climb can be a little tiring, but parts of Mykonos are much steeper. The good thing is the hotel is very quiet and out of the way. Also I found it very safe.
I did not use the pool, but it looked clean. I spent alot of time in town with friends exploring the beaches and Delos (Ancient site)
Overall I would recommend this hotel for its price and the fact the it was quiet.
I would stay there again if travelling to Mykonos.
